Arduino's connection to ATEM fails after some minutes

Hi,

nearly the same Text, I posted at

http://atemuser.com/forums/atem-vision-mixers/developers/skaarhoj-controllers/cant-connect-switcher-ethernet-shield-2-so

because, it seems at the beginning to be the same problem. But the thread is marked in its headline as "solved". So I'll post it also here:

I built a small Arduino box with ethernet shied as BM-Tally-Box replacement. After some minutes, the connection to my ATEM TVS (old) fails and the automatic reconnect, don't work. After manual reset, the sketch works fine again until the next fail some minutes later....

The ATEM can be controlled by laptop all the time. So I suggest the problem caused in Arduino "branch". It may be caused in my network, because the Arduino (currently in the living room) is two switches and one router away from the ATEM (in the attic).

I understand, that the connectiion may fail, but why does the reconnect don't work ? My ATEMstd and ATEMbasic libraries are donloaded at the last weekend....

But the ATEM firmware is an old one (4.x). Should I update the Firmware to solve this issue ?

Any ideas ? ...

Thank you.

IP and MAC address?

This can happen if the IP address and MAC address are in conflict with something else on your network.

Where would I be without the 'undo' button

Hi Baz,Thank you. I'll try

Hi Baz,

Thank you. I'll try it in the evening.

Edit:

Yes, with an other IP it runs for more than one hour without issues. I continue the test....

Edit 2:

After 3 Hours running without issues, I stopped the test.
