Instructions
  • Zip up the Main JustMacros directory.
  • Move that ZIP file and expand to a directory on a new machine.
  • Use notepad to edit the autoexec script and ensure a line written as EnviroWrite("USE_WEB_SERVER_ADDRESS", "<some IP>"), is modified to the new IP address of the new computer. If you don't have this line, don't worry about it.
  • Install the ATEM Software on the new machine, run it and connect to your switcher.
  • XKeys Tab, Bottom Right Panel, select Profile, right mouse click, Export your XKeys Profile as an XML file.
  • If you have Videohubs and CasparCG, you can also export the registry values from "HKEY_LOCAl_USER\Software\Vis\Ranger" and merge that to the registry on the new computer, but if you are just using the ATEM and XKeys, then no need to worry about this.
  • Connect your XKeys Panel.
  • Run JustMacros
  • Go to XKeys Tab, bottom right panel, right click and import the export XKeys Profile XML.
  • Select the profile and set the ID to match your panel.
  • Restart JustMacros.

Easy!!! 5-10minutes max.

NOTE: If you export directly from the registry, and merge those entries on your new computer, your XKeys Profile will automatically have moved and so you cvan probably skip the last 3 steps.

Failing that, if both machines are on the internet - I'll send you 2 remote access links, setup both machine with the remote access links, and do it for you, but it's honestly not complicated, have a go at the above instructions.

Question related to this

Question related to this one...

It's clear how to export the profiles. I did export from registry.

I perfectly see my 3 profiles for 3 diferent xkey panels.

But it seems this is not working for me (and I guess a lot of others). All my buttons are 'standard' buttons. So each button has own scripts. With exporting a profile or registry, only 'button type' and names in caption line are stored. Not the 'On button down' and 'up' part.

Is there no way to export this? Do I need to manualy enter all the info for each button again? Want to use 2 JM systems in my new setup, so I always have a backup pc with me.

Thanks for the help in advance!

UPDATE

In registry export file I can see several of the values. Probably this has something to do as original machine was Win7 and the new Win10?

On the Win10 and another Win7 machine the for most buttons in registry the 'On button down' is missing. Except for 'blanc' buttons. However in the exported registry file it is there for all of them...

I found only 1 button which works :) DSK1

OK, I've solved the issue by

OK,

I've solved the issue by copy pasting from regestry txt export into JM, for each button. The issue is Windows related. Exporting with line breaks works without a problem, But import again doesn't work. At a line break, Regestry thinks that is the end of that value.

So with 'standard' buttons in JM it's important to export profiles from JM. Again learned something today :)
