Hold off upgrading to 4 M/E if you use JM for Chroma Key

The API indicates that the standard chroma key commands can't be used on an ME if advanced keying is available.
"If a switcher is capable of using advanced chroma key, then this interface will not be available. Only if IBMDSwitcherKey::DoesSupportAdvancedChroma returns false,  does the switcher support this IBMDSwitcherKeyChromaParameters interface.".

Do you have access to the 3rd

Do you have access to the 3rd and 4th M/E with justmacros? I do not own a broadcast 4me but will purchase one if justmacros can control them.

I have been using the 2me as a multidestination switcher but of coarse the 3rd 4th and 5th destinations are cuts only.(Im cheating by using the six auxs to create 3 more destinations). Justmacros has been a great solution for turning an inexpensive switcher into an affordable multidestination soulution for small shows that dont need wide screen blends.

I can't confirm for JM but if

I can't confirm for JM but if it is coded to enumerate all available M/E's, rather than being hard coded for 1 or 2, then it should work. The current version would not support USK Croma Key but I would expect a patch for the 4 M/E anyway to support the advanced Chroma Key settings (JM has a long history of keeping up with new ATEM versions).

It only took me about 1/2 hour to update my PowerShell scripting interface for the new advanced Chroma Key properties, the extra ME's and 4 key's per ME were automatically detected due to the way I enumerate all that are available regardless of switcher model.

Thanks for the quick

Thanks for the quick reply!

Sounds good. Unfortunately, I have been having a tough time getting through to the JM website to check on things.

Very exciting to see the 4me capabilitys. Would be awsome if they had seperate outputs without the need for using the auxs'.

Either way, Very cool and welcome addition to the platform.
