Can ATEM TVS HD do this layout

Hi

I couldn't find anyone who could help answer this and Google seems to give conflicting answers.

I would like to know if the new ATEM TVS HD can do this layout:

1. Base video in the background layer . comes from a HD Camera

2. A smaller Picture-in-picture square in the upper left hand corner, on top of the background layer, comes from another HD camera

3. VGA Output of a PC in the lower left hand corner

4. A sports score graphics overlay on top of all the above layers (Optional nice to have)

From what I understand, there are 1 USK and 2 DSK giving a total of 3 layers , so it seems I can build the above layout, yes ? If yes, can someone guide how the USK/DSK are utilised to build the above layout ?

thank you in advance for any help

regards

Sort of...

Hi,

There is only one DVE to provide single PiP but you can do it if you are happy with the cam 2 shot framing so that the subject is in the top left and then using a wipe transition to only show part of the preview source in the top right (you can change the symmetry to get a different aspect ratio of the preview source .

So:

1. Cam 1 on program,

2. Cam 2 on Preview,

3. VGA (converted to HDMI or SDI) as Upstream Key Source configured with DVE to squash and position (PiP feature)

4. Scoreboard graphic on DSK (Luma keying only so no reliable fancy transparent graphic, just solid, and use a mask to limit keying area)

I created a video showing almost the same except program source was media still and cam 2 shot was on left.
