BMD Micro Converter SDI to HDMI occasional "invalid format"

Back from semi-retirement...
Been asked to look at an occasional error shown on HDMI
TV fed from ATEM 1M/E aux output.

99% of time no issues. Did update converter's firmware from level 6 to 7.
Any other suggestions to look at?

Micro Converters might not be as robust as older tech

I have several SDI to HDMI micro converters and use them as repeaters.  I believe I can show that they do not do as well with longer cable lengths as others items - like a hyperdeck shuttle.

Not sure what the exact problem is.

I have a longer -than 200 ft length of coax from a football field to a school building that I run 1080i 59.94 through for H.S. games.  After that it goes another 100 ft to the control room.   The signal will not make it all the way so I use a device to re-amplify it just inside the building .  I had been using an old Hyperdeck shuttle that was not being used for anything, and it worked great... solid signal.  I got some Micro converters and replaced it with one.  The very first game of the season the signal kept cutting in and out.  Checked and replaced cables etc.  Finally replaced the micro with the old shuttle and everything was rock solid again.

I don't think that they make the shuttle anymore....

I've had trouble getting

I've had trouble getting projectors to properly lock to a Micro Converter, where the Mini Converters were rock solid... So I'm not all that fond of them anymore, unfortunately. It was quite a close call for a showstopper once - can't have that anymore.

Unfortunately, I don't have a clue. Might be bothered to check the next time I get the gear, in a few weeks.
